
U19 World Cup India Squad: The BCCI has announced India’s Under-19 squads for the South Africa tour and the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will captain India in the three-match One-Day series against South Africa in Benoni, with Aaron George as vice-captain.
Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra have been ruled out of the South Africa tour due to wrist injuries and will undergo treatment at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
Ayush Mhatre will lead India at the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026, with Vihaan Malhotra named vice-captain. The tournament will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia from 15 January to 6 February 2026. India are placed in Group B with New Zealand, the USA and Bangladesh.
India will begin their campaign against the USA on 15 January in Bulawayo, followed by matches against Bangladesh on 17 January and New Zealand on 24 January.
India’s South Africa tour will be played entirely at Willowmoore Park, Benoni, with matches scheduled on 3, 5 and 7 January. India are five-time Under-19 World Cup champions, having won the title in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018 and 2022.
