The December 13th episode of SmackDown was streamed live from Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In this episode of SmackDown, we saw one of the best matches in recent times, where Ilja Dragunov defended his United States Championship against Tommaso Ciampa.
We also saw a very intense face-off between the current NXT Men’s Champion, Oba Femi, and the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Both these champions will face each other tomorrow at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will be streamed live on Netflix. The main event of this episode of SmackDown was Terror Twins vs Aleister Black and Zelina Vega.
SmackDown Highlights: Cody Rhodes and Oba Femi face-to-face
Cody Rhodes started SmackDown, and after addressing Drew McIntyre, he was interrupted by the NXT Men’s Champion, Oba Femi. Femi came out and said that Cody is the past and he is not the future, but he is the present of the WWE. Femi quoted John Cena and said, “Cody your time is up, my time is now”.

Ilja Dragunov defended his United States Championship against Tommaso Ciampa, and during this match, we also saw that Dragunov’s face was fully covered with blood. This match was very intense and hard-hitting. Despite distractions from Johnny Gargano, Dragunov managed to secure the win and retain his United States Championship.

Alexa Bliss vs Lash Legend: Lash Legend defeated Alexa Bliss with the help of outside distractions from her partner, Nia Jax.
The Miz vs Je’Von Evans: Je’Von Evans defeated the Miz and secured one of the biggest wins of his entire career. He will now face the tag team champions, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, at SNME with his partner, the TNA X-Division Champion, Leon Slater.
Jade Cargill attacks Michin: It was advertised that Michin was supposed to be facing the WWE Women’s Champion, Jade Cargill. However, Cargill attacked her before the match even started, which caused the cancellation of this match.
SmackDown Highlights: Wyatt Sicks Calls out MFT
Uncle Howdy challenged the MFTs for a match, and Solo Sikoa accepted the challenge. And now they will be facing each other for the WWE Tag Team Championship at the next episode of SmackDown.
SmackDown Highlights: Main Event
After being in a feud for a couple of months, Damien Priest and Aleister Black faced each other in a mixed tag team match. Damien Priest’s partner was his best friend, Rhea Ripley, and Aleister Black’s partner was his wife, Zelina Vega. This match was very interesting, and it kept the crowd on their feet. After delivering a great performance, this match was ultimately won by Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley.
