India vs New Zealand: Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of India’s three-match ODI series against New Zealand after being diagnosed with an oblique muscle tear. The injury happened during practice at Vadodara’s BCA Stadium when Pant felt sudden discomfort in his right lateral abdominal area. MRI scans confirmed a side strain, and the BCCI medical team said it will take at least 10 days to heal.

Dhruv Jurel Named Replacement for India vs New Zealand ODI Series

Dhruv Jurel has been named as Rishabh Pant’s replacement for India’s three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Pant was ruled out after suffering a side strain during a net session in Vadodara when he was hit above the waist. He will rest for several days before reporting to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for rehab.

Jurel has been in excellent form for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and has already joined the squad. The series will start at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara on January 11, with the second ODI in Rajkot on January 14 and the third in Indore on January 18.
