Conor McGregor has been given an offer to box current UFC champion Petr Yan in what could be one of the biggest events of 2026. McGregor has not fought since July 2021, when he broke his leg in his third fight against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor has said, “I want to return at the UFC event planned for June 2026 at the White House.” Michael Chandler is seen as the leading option to face him, but nothing has been finalized, and McGregor is still receiving other offers.

The Irish fighter has not boxed since losing to Floyd Mayweather in 2017. Even so, McGregor believes his boxing skills are the best in the UFC. During a face-off with Petr Yan in 2023, he confidently said, “I’m the best boxer in the UFC.”

Now, the President of the International Boxing Association, Umar Kremlev, has publicly offered to organize a boxing match between McGregor and Yan. He wrote, “Let’s make the best main event of 2026,” and added that the IBA is ready to organize the fight as soon as both fighters agree.

Apart from boxing, McGregor has also spoken about his UFC title ambitions. He recently said, “I’m motivated, and I for sure want a crack at that belt,” explaining that he wants a chance to win the 170-pound title and become a three-division champion.

Speaking about Islam Makhachev, McGregor said, “It would be a good fight, a good scrap,” and praised his recent performance. He added, “I’m excited for it. Let’s get back in the mix and see what happens.”
