Gujarat Giants opener Sophie Devine played a big knock against Delhi Capitals in WPL 2026. She scored a fast 95 in Match 4 of the season at DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Devine reached her fifty in just 25 balls and was finally out for 95 off 42 balls.
In the second over, she hit Chinelle Henry for two fours. In the fourth over, she took on Nandani Sharma and smashed two fours and a six. In the last over of the powerplay, Devine went hard against Sneh Rana, hitting two fours and four sixes, scoring 32 runs in that single over. She made 65 runs in the powerplay itself, off 27 balls.
After the powerplay, Devine continued her attack and hit Shree Charani for three sixes. She was later dismissed by Nandani Sharma while trying to play another big shot.
Sophie Devine added a 94-run opening partnership with Beth Mooney, who scored 19. She also added 32 runs with Gujarat Giants captain Ashleigh Gardner. Devine was dismissed in the 11th over, ending a strong innings that put Gujarat Giants in a solid position.

Delhi Capitals’ young bowler Nandani Sharma created history in WPL 2026 during the match against Gujarat Giants on Sunday. The 24-year-old was playing only her second game in the tournament and delivered a standout performance with the ball.
Nandani Sharma finished with figures of 5/33. She took four wickets in her final over, which was the last over of the innings, and completed a hat-trick during that over.
With this performance, Nandani Sharma became only the second Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in the WPL after Deepti Sharma. Overall, she is the fourth player to achieve a WPL hat trick, after Issy Wong, Deepti Sharma, and Grace Harris.
She also became the second Indian bowler to take a five-wicket haul in the Women’s Premier League. Her bowling figures of 5/33 are now ranked as the fifth-best bowling figures in WPL history.
