Australia T20 World Cup squad: Australia have announced a spin-heavy 15-player squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with all-rounder Mitchell Marsh named captain.

The squad includes Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Cameron Green, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa. Cooper Connolly’s inclusion is a surprise, as he has not played in Australia’s last 12 T20Is.

The team will start their campaign against Ireland in Colombo on February 11, then play Zimbabwe on February 13, Sri Lanka in Kandy on February 16, and Oman on February 20. All group-stage matches will be in Sri Lanka. If Australia advances, they will travel to India for the Super Eights stage.

Pat Cummins’ participation is uncertain pending a back scan. Josh Hazlewood and Tim David are recovering from hamstring injuries. Under ICC rules, squad changes can be made until January 31. Australia will also play a three-match T20I series against Pakistan later in January as preparation.

How many T20 World Cups did Australia win?
