The IPL 2026 auction delivered another memorable moment on Tuesday evening as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured England all-rounder Liam Livingstone for ₹13 crore.
After remaining unsold earlier, Livingstone was placed in the accelerated round, with SRH and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) going head-to-head.
LSG showed strong interest but eventually had to back out after running out of funds, leaving SRH with a clear path. With over ₹22 crore still available in their purse, Hyderabad wasted no time and secured Livingstone
Livingstone brings immense value with his explosive batting, especially in the middle order, and his ability to play brilliantly against both spin and pace bowling.
For SRH, this signing could be a turning point. After a mixed last season, the franchise appears determined to rebuild with power-packed overseas talent.
