John Cena officially retired from professional wrestling on December 14, 2025. In his last match, he wrestled “The Ring General Gunther.” During this match, Cena tapped out to Gunther, which marked the end of Cena’s legendary WWE career. 

Cena’s retirement tour officially began when he appeared on the first episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix. In his entire retirement tour, Cena appeared 36 times, and on every appearance, we saw many memorable moments.

Winning the IC Championship

On his second-to-last Monday Night Raw appearance, Cena faced Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. 

During this match, despite the interference from the Judgement Day, Cena managed to defeat Mysterio and became a Grand Slam Champion in WWE.

Turning Heel

One of the most shocking moments in the history of WWE happened at the 2025 Elimination Chamber. When Cena won the Elimination Chamber match, he turned heel and attacked Cody Rhodes.
