India captain Shubman Gill was gifted Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s signed football boots during a recent meeting. A video of the moment was shared on social media and quickly went viral, with fans reacting to the friendly interaction between the two sports stars.
Gill and Haaland posed for photos together after the exchange. This was not their first meeting. In 2023, Gill met Haaland and other Manchester City players after the World Test Championship final.

Shubman Gill will represent Punjab in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, with expected appearances against Sikkim on January 3 and Goa on January 6. He will then link up with the Indian ODI team for the three-match series against New Zealand beginning January 7.
Gill had earlier missed a portion of the T20I series against South Africa because of injury and was subsequently omitted from the T20I squad for the New Zealand series as well as the forthcoming T20 World Cup.
