“The Odyssey” Trailer: Christopher Nolan has unveiled a thrilling new trailer for his upcoming epic The Odyssey, giving fans a powerful glimpse into Matt Damon’s action-packed journey through gods, monsters, and mythic battles.
The trailer was released online just days after Nolan shared a five-minute prologue with the theatrical release of Avatar: Fire and Ash. While the prologue teased massive battle sequences, the latest clip expands the world further, taking viewers across land and sea and highlighting the scale and ambition of the film.
The Odyssey follows the legendary Greek hero Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, as he embarks on a 10-year journey home after the Trojan War. The new trailer showcases several iconic moments from the classic tale, including Odysseus facing off against the Cyclops, encountering Circe, and resisting the deadly lure of the Sirens. Gods, sea monsters, and mythical creatures feature heavily in the action-filled footage.
The clip also offers striking visuals from inside the Trojan Horse and introduces key characters. Benny Safdie appears as Agamemnon, Tom Holland is seen as Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, while Anne Hathaway plays Penelope, his wife.
This is the third piece of footage released from The Odyssey. Unlike the previous two clips, which were leaked online, this trailer was released smoothly without any issues.

Written and directed by Nolan, The Odyssey boasts a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o. Zendaya and Charlize Theron also appear in important roles. The film is set to release in cinemas on July 17, 2026.
Reports say advance bookings for the film began unusually early in July 2025, with IMAX 70mm tickets selling out almost instantly. The overwhelming demand led to scalping concerns, underlining the massive hype around the project.
Anticipation for The Odyssey is at an all-time high, especially with Nolan returning after the huge success of Oppenheimer, which dominated the 2024 Oscars and crossed the billion-dollar mark worldwide.
